"Literally a hidden treasure trove in the old part of Jakarta. Owned by the family of Oei Tiong Ham, an Indonesian tycoon during the colonial times, it houses invaluable items of history belonging to the family. Props to Mas Noval for showing us around the compound, and explaining here and there about the amazing collections."

"My husband and I had dinner here and we loved our experience. The ambience was cozy, made us stayed for a while even after our meal was done. The food was great, the various spices nade each food has a unique taste. We ordered the Nasi Tumpeng and it was a great choice. It came with duck and beef cooked in green chilli sauce, prawn satay, urap, sayur lodeh, 2 types of sambal and rempeyek (peanut crackers). My husband ordered coffee after the meal, which was Kopi Tjap Harimau, made in a traditional way where the coffee powder excess aren't filtered. The caffeine is subtle but definitely there. As a coffee lover, my husband enjoyed his coffee. We were also served by mas Naufal who was very polite and helpful. He gave us a small private tour of Tugu's fantastic collection. Definitely will come back."

"We ate at Kaum the night prior, apparently among the top 5 restaurants in Jakarta. It was good but Jajaghu is vastly superior! The quality and flavours at Jajaghu are exceptional, the setting is an experience in itself. A visual treat, so much to take in. Five stars for atmosphere is an inadequate rating, it deserves more. The service - impeccable. Unquestionably our best meal in Jakarta! Highly recommend."

"Only for those who understand that this place does whatever they want, and they do it well. They don’t concern themselves with answering to a certain image of fine dining, they are so unashamedly Indonesian while being simultaneously fancy, and that is something I truly respect.
